Pictures from March 1

A busy Thursday!

We started off the month of March by moving our pots of gold "under" the rainbow.  Each time, there will be a new directional word (above, on, etc.)

 Then onto gym!

Stretching and warming up our bodies!

 Then it was bowling time!

The back in the classroom, I asked the kids to show me their right hand and then we practiced shaking hands!

Reading books after finished our delicious Fruit Day snack!

Then we worked on our cutting skills and cut out toys to put in our store!

Then we had Jesus Time and read about another awesome miracle that Jesus did-He stilled the storm!  We talked about how we feel when there is a storm and then tried to connect that to how the disciples felt when they were in the storm!  We remembered that Jesus is always with us and keeps us safe, just like He kept the disciples safe in the storm!

Then we worked on a special project that hopefully will be up on the ceiling next week!  Yes, I said the ceiling! :)

We also worked on a marble rolling painting that some of us will have as our art piece for the art fair that will be held next week in Zion's Welcome Center.  Come to church this weekend to check them out!

We also started Calendar for the first time.  On Tuesday, a child asked how can we tell when gym is and so I thought that this was a great time to introduce the calendar.  At this age, the concept might still be abstract for some preschoolers; I feel like my daughter really has started to understand calendar this year and she is in kindergarten!

We also worked on letters using the chalkboards and erasers.

 A great day!
