We had a great Thursday! We started off the day sorting "Holiday" erasers while we waited for our gym time.
Then during gym time, we had fun working on our balancing and jumping skills! We played "Freeze" with music. Each time the music stopped, we had to freeze and stop whatever we were doing! This was good for our balance! We also worked on jumping correctly. This is a great activity to work on at home with your child-using your arms and landing on both feet. A lot of kids wanted to land 1-2 with their feet, so we practiced landing with the feet at the same time.

Then we had fun with scarves. We enjoyed making rainbows, waves, and then we pretended to be superheroes or butterflies and "fly" around the gym!
Back in the classroom, we enjoyed the story of Palm Sunday! Then we used our small motor skills to cut paper to create palm branches. We later used them to have a parade at the end of the day. They enjoyed saying "Hosanna!" At Zion this weekend, we will have a parade at each one of the church services. Come join us at 5:00 on Saturday, or at 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00 on Sunday to participate in the Palm Sunday parade!
After snack...book reading time on the couch!
During Music Time, we learned a new song and had fun dancing with friends!
