Pictures for March 16h

We had a fun Thursday!  We started off in gym and worked on positional words like "over" and "around" when we jumped and ran.  We also played "tag" using special jerseys that would fit over kids' shirts so that everyone could tell who was "it".

We had several kids work together to help Mrs. Steinbacher, Zion's gym teacher, put the mats back up.

 Then back in the classroom we read the story of Daniel!   It was fun to hear the students retell the story!
Then for Center Time, we worked on finishing our toys for the store.  It is almost ready.  Each of the students had to choose what amount their toy would be worth-$1 or $2.  Then they had to write that amount on the toy.  We also had fun working with colors on the light table and I had students go over to the SMARTboard and use the pens.  We had lots of fun!

 We did a great job of cleaning up today!  They worked so well together to clean up each area!  It was great to witness so I had to take pictures!

One of the last things that we worked on was coming up with Class Rules.  We talked about what rules are and why we have rules.  Then we had to come up with 2 rules that we wanted to follow as a class.  Come in on Thursday to see what rules we are going to follow.  The children came up with ideas and then they voted.  It was interesting to see what rules were important to them!
