Today was a Chapel Day and we enjoyed listening to Pastor Reitz, Zion's Associate Pastor, tell us about the best Christmas present we will receive this Christmas-Jesus! We enjoyed singing "Light One Candle" as we lit 3 candles on our Advent wreath!
We worked on tracing around stencils. Later I took those shapes and the students had to find a partner that had the same shape as they did.
Then we worked on using our wood pieces to make the different letters. I noticed today many more of the children recognized different letters in his/her name! :)
Then we enjoyed a delicious birthday treat!
Onto Music Time where we sang some familiar tunes (Sticky, Sticky Bubble Gum) and then a new one about a dragon! We had fun roaring and moving like a dragon!
During Center Time, each student came over and I had them make a pattern using tiles and paper. I took a picture and it is will be in your child's portfolio.
The children enjoyed Center Time; we even had many students "go to the movies" today! It was fun to watch them go through setting up for the movie...very creative minds!
