Pictures for Dec. 6th

Today during Jesus' time we "lit" two candles on our Advent wreath!  It is getting closer to the birth of Jesus!  We read through the story again and used the SMARTboard to help tell this wonderful story!

Then we went on a train trip up to church to practice for the Christmas Service!  On the way there, we had fun trying to catch snowflakes with our tongues!

Up in church we practiced playing the bells and reciting our poem.  It will be wonderful to help lead this service on Sunday!

After a delicious Birthday Treat snack, we enjoyed Writing Time and the letter "T".  We practiced using our crayons to make a rainbow "T", down big line and across little line.

Then it was on to Center Time!  In the sensory table, the students could use scissors to cut the wrapping paper that was inside the tub!
Some of us enjoyed Dramatic Play in the kitchen!
With me, the students worked on their Christmas trees.  Today we used different colors to put ornaments on the trees!  I showed the students how to paint with different colors and not mix the colors together so that the ornaments were solid colors.  These paintings will be hanging up in our classroom next week!
Playing with blocks during Center Time...

Another great day!  See you on Thursday!
