We had a great Thursday! Today was gym day and we had fun going over and practicing throwing, catching, and kicking balls with our friends.
Then after gym class, we went to Mrs. Stanglein's Preschool classroom so that we could practice the Christmas Service together!
We had to say a speaking part together that I videotaped for the Christmas Service.
Then we went back to our classroom and practiced using our bells for our song that we will do in the Christmas Service! So many things to prepare for us to tell everyone about the birth of Jesus!
The kids will know what bell to ring because of the colors that come up on the cards that will be shown to them.
Then we worked together to decorate our class Christmas tree. We will be making more ornaments to put on it throughout the month!
Then it was Jesus Time! We talked about our Advent Wreath on our board and sang "Light One Candle" while one student put up the flame on the first candle!
Then we read the story of the birth of Jesus! The kids were fascinated and we will have fun this month acting this story out (we even have costumes to wear!)
Then after songs and snack, it was Center Time. The students played together nicely!
I showed the students a new technique when painting at the easel. We later painted Christmas trees using green paint. Next week we will put on ornaments!
