Pictures from Nov. 17th

Today we started off by writing the letter "L" on the SMARTboard for our attendance chart.
Then we had a great Jesus time!  We acted out the story of "Joshua and the Battle of Jericho".  First I read through the Bible story, then we made the wall.  Next we got out our horns and walked around until the "walls came tumbling down"!  The kids loved it!

Then it was time for writing.  We practiced our letter "L" by making rainbow "L's" on our paper.  Each child was given an L and then made it over and over again using different colored crayons.

Then it was time for some small motor practice.  We played with shape blocks on the carpet, sorted on the carpet...
or used our fingers to put small beads onto spaghetti that was placed inside a mound of play-doh.  This took a lot of concentration and finger work!  They did great!

Some of us worked with Mrs. Robertson on punching out red shapes and gluing them down on the paper to make a red page for our color book.  This was the first time we used glue, so I put little black dots down on the paper to remind them that we didn't need a lot of glue for each cutout, only a little dot!

We enjoyed outside recess; no gym because it was being used for "World Stacking Day", something our grades 1-8 participate in.  Next week we will work on a special Christmas project!  See you then!
