Today we enjoyed our rainy day inside! During Jesus time, we acted out the story of David and Goliath. Next week we will start the story of Joshua and the Battle of Jericho. We will continue with the theme that God can do anything!
Today we looked at how big Goliath was but David wasn't scared! He had God on his side! Each student had the chance to pretend to be David and "sling" a stone at Goliath. :)
We also had fun singing our David song. I am attaching the link here to a YouTube video that shows the song. Please feel free to sing it at home with your child.
After Jesus time, we worked on finishing our Fall projects. We used bubble wrap to make circles prints which we will turn into corn next week.
We also worked on our Fine Motor muscles and made a leaf mosaic using dried beans and peas. In our writing curriculum, it is important for the students to work on strengthening their fine motor muscles so that they are ready for writing. This activity was a lot of work because they had to pick up small pieces of beans and places them in a specific spot on their paper.
While some of us painted with me and did the mosaic with Mrs. Robertson, the rest of us worked on the carpet together and did puzzles.
Here are some of our projects hanging in the classroom! Come check them out!
We enjoyed Inside Recess time with Mrs. Helmkamp's class. We were able to play in either classroom so that is what we did during Center Time. We had a lot of fun during music time and learned 3 news songs! We will try to tape them next week so you can see us in action!
