Today was a gym day and we used the parachute for the first time! We enjoyed making waves and making it look like a mushroom! The kids really enjoyed running underneath it while Mrs. Robertson and I held it up high!
Then we came back into the classroom for Jesus Time. We started the story of "Joshua and the Battle of Jericho". The students were amazed when the wall came tumbling down! Next week we will make horns and act out the story. It will be a lot of fun!
The students enjoy singing "My God is so Great" with me. This songs reminds us that God can do anything!
My God is so Great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do. My God is so Great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do. The mountains are His, the rivers are His, the stars are His handiwork too. My God is so great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do, for you!
Then we worked on our catching and throwing in the classroom with beanbags.
Then we worked on our fine motor skills by rolling out snakes and cutting them with scissors!
During Center Time, each student saw Mrs. Robertson and practiced their scissor skills even more.
Today we started writing! The first letter we worked on was the Letter L. If you want to practice it at home with your child, please remember to have them start at the top and feel free to use the words Big Line going down, Little Line going across. We use those same words at school. We will work on the "L" at school next week on Tuesday!
