What beautiful weather we had today! We enjoyed playing outside in the sun at recess time. During chapel today, I led the service and we talked about what things we can say Thank You to God for. At the end of the day, each student had to tell me one thing he/she was thankful for. It was great to hear their answers because it reminded me of how many blessings God has given to us!
(Surprisingly no one said candy!) :)
Today we worked on several small motor activities!
We rolled dough into balls and then rolled the balls into snakes. If you have play-doh at home, this is a great activity to do with your child. While some of us rolled play-doh, the other students worked with Mrs. Robertson doing letter cards and wood pieces, or colored a fall tree. We are all getting really quick at figured out what wood pieces need to be used to make each letter! :)
Here is a close-up of a student rolling the dough out using his palms. It was exciting for us to see our snakes grow!
Then we read a new Mat Man book; this one is about how Mat Man would look if we used different shapes to make his body instead of using a rectangle.
Then we made Mat Man again! This time we didn't use the CD and we were able to sing the song all by ourselves!
After chapel, we each got a turn painting a pumpkin. These will be up in the hallway on Thursday.
Another great day in Preschool! Please remember that our Thanksgiving Food Drive starts next week! We also have Muffins for Moms next week too!
