Another fun day in Preschool! Today we started our day in Jesus Time with a new Bible story. Today I read the students the story of "David and Goliath". We talked about the opposite of big and little and how even though David was little he was not afraid to fight the big Goliath because David knew that God Can Do Anything!

Next we enjoyed music time where I taught the students 2 new songs. I have had several parents ask if I could send words home to the songs we sing at school. I will start posting videos on our blog so that you can hear the music and the words and see what actions we are doing with the songs. Today the song was "Slippery Fish" by Charlotte Diamond. I will post a video on Thursday because we will have the song down by then.
| In the song we had to act like certain animals in the water. Here we are acting like sharks! |
| Here we are acting like whales! |
| Here we are acting like slippery fish! |
| The students are acting out "Oh no!" |
| Acting like giant whales! |
| The song has a funny ending (the kids loved it and wanted to sing it again and again!) |
Then we went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather God gave us today!
Then we had snack and several of us were chosen to help Mrs. Robertson get ready for snack! Each day from now on, 4 of us will help set up for snack.
| They had to count out napkins and cups and place them around the tables |
Then after snack, we read 2 books. One about feelings (anger) and one about what happens during the season of fall. During Center Time, the students went with Mrs. Robertson and used scissors and paper to make fall leaves. They also came to me to tell me about a time they were angy.

| We opened up the Sensory Table and worked with a mixture of sand, cornstarch, and water! It was gooey! |
At the end of the day, I showed the students an overhead projector and showed them how to mix colors on it. We will have this open during Center Time the next time they come to school! They are very excited!
