May 1st Pictures

Phew, the book is finished.  Our last few pages were finished today and I will read it to the class on Thursday!!!  How exciting to see the growth made by the children!

During Center Time, we enjoyed painting rainbows using sponges.  We talked about what 6 colors are in rainbows and then I had the students take a sponge and squirt the those colors in any order on the paper.  The sponge was swiped across the paper and voila, rainbow!

We will finish up with the rest of the class on Thursday!

Then we headed up for a special chapel.  Zion's 1st-3rd grade classes are doing a musical on Friday night and we experienced the dress rehearsal today.  It was about sheep and how our loving shepherd, Jesus loves us so.   It was a longer time to sit, but the kids did great!

On the way back, we practiced the life skill of walking down the steps the correct way.  Everyone remembered to walk down the right side!

After snack, we practiced writing some letters and numbers while having fun with shaving cream!

At the end of the day, I introduced the class to some visitors!  Caterpillars!  We will have these caterpillars with us until they turn into butterflies.  The kids were excited!  On Thursday, we will do lots of activities to help us understand the life cycle of a butterfly!  It will be a lot of fun!
