Pictures for Jan. 17th

We started off the day doing some color exploration.  I had out colored water and pipe cleaners and watched to see what new colors we could come up with together!

Mrs. Robertson enjoyed working with students to create a marble run!
Our color exploration was fun and messy; a great combination! :)

Our Room Moms came into the classroom to help make something for Zion's auction, which will be held March 30th.

Some of us worked together to make a "car house".  "This is a house that has cars living in it",  described by these kids.
Then we worked on patterns.  We worked on ABAB pattern using different parts of our bodies.  Here we are doing nose, clap, nose, clap.

This is an introduction to this concept; later I will work with students to review or expand upon this concept.

During Jesus Time, I read the story of Jesus Going to the Temple with his family.  We talked about how the temple is God's house and so on Thursday we will visit God's house (church) and draw pictures.

Then we started to work on a new project!  We are going to have a store in the classroom!  Today we did a web to see what things we have bought in a store before.

Next time, we will make a web what kind of store we want to have in our classroom!  This should be a fun project!

Enjoying a birthday snack!

Then because it was so cold, we practiced hopping and jumping in the classroom!

Before Center Time, I traced around a student to make a big student on paper.  Over the next few weeks, we will color this person and then use it to talk about what we can do to be a good friend.

 Center Time fun!

A fun day was had by all!
