Pictures from September 8, 2011

Today was our best day of preschool to date!  The children are starting to pick up the routine and did a great job following directions today!  We had a lot of fun today.  We are still working on cleaning up after centers; some of us just don't want to clean and want to keep playing.   :)

During Jesus time, we drew the sun, moon, stars, and flowers.  These are all wonderful things that God created.  We also worked on our chapel liturgy.  The kids have 2 of the songs down pat.  Next week I will videotape the children singing them and put it on the blog so you can see it.

Today, I worked with the students during small group time using shaving cream.  They loved it and it was a great way for us to practice vertical and horizontal lines, crossing a line, and making circles.  We are working on the phrase "start at the top" because that is where we need to start all of our letters.

We also had gym today and we worked on a "crab walk", a great way to strengthen our core muscles.  We also had fun balancing a plastic egg on a spoon and walking across the gym floor.

Information:
Thank you to all who turned in fall fundraiser sheets.  The money we raise helps purchase special items for our school.  Next week we do not have chapel.  We will start "Mat Man" next week, so please be watching for information coming home about this fun project you will do with your child at home.
