Pictures for April 5

Today we started off by working with some new stencils that I brought in!

Then we went to gym and had fun playing with the parachute!  Each child had to hold on to a color of the parachute and then I yelled that color and they had to run under the parachute to a new color!  We had a lot of fun and it was a good review of colors!  Mrs. Helmkamp's preschool class joined us so it was a lot of fun to play with new friends.

Back in the classroom, we read the story of Holy Week.  It was hard for them to understand why people wanted to hurt Jesus and it's hard for me to understand that too! :)    When we come back from break, we will "find" our "Alleluias" that we hid around the classroom during Lent.  It will be great to say that word again!

During Center Time, we enjoyed working with shapes on the SMARTboard, painting with liquid watercolors, and exploring with baking soda and vinegar.

This activity worked our small motor muscles as we used eye droppers to drop colored vinegar on top of baking soda.  The students also worked with color experimentation!  "I just made purple!" was a statement I heard a lot! :)
