Pictures for April 19

Today was a great Thursday in Preschool!  We started off the day making rainbow prints with paint!

Mrs. Horton worked with the children to make the April name/drawing documentation pages for our binders.  Each child was asked to write his/her name and draw a picture of his/her family.

 During Jesus time, we talked about how the women came to the tomb but they did not find the body of Jesus because "He is alive!"  We also found our Alleluias that have been hidden during Lent!   Next week we will start the story of Zacchaeus.

Then during Music Time, we listened and danced to 3 new songs.  One of the songs, "God is Watching Over You" is a VBS song from last year.  Zion's VBS is June 11-15th.  I hope that your children can come; it is a lot of fun!

Then we read the book, The Mixed-up Chameleon by Eric Carle.  It started a conversation about animals.  We talked about our favorite animals and what animals we liked to see when we go to the zoo. Outside, the children drew their favorite animal and we will be doing several activities over the last few weeks of school dealing with this topic.
