August 18th Pictures-First Day

Dear Parents,

We had a great first day in Preschool! We started off with Jesus time and talked about what we do during Jesus time (pray, sing, read stories from the Bible) and then we looked for a picture of Jesus in the room.  We found Him! :)  We talked about how Jesus is always with us and loves us so much!
We sorted colored squares, drew our first school picture, painted flowers, and had fun exploring all of the centers during Center Time.  We also enjoyed eating snack and playing outside.  It was a busy morning!  Check out our pictures!

We explored our wood pieces from Handwriting Without Tears

Then we tapped the pieces together to the music

We talked about sorting and I showed them how to sort colors

Then they worked with partners and sorted colored squares into groups

Sorting is something that we will practice a lot at school (Pre-math skill)

We enjoyed building with wood pieces that Mr. Trinklein and my husband made this summer

We liked digging in our new gravel pit

We read this book together and named all of the colors that the chameleon turned in the story

We did our first drawing in Preschool.  These will be put in your child's portfolio.

Center time-building our "Marble Run"

Exploring colors at the light table with a magnify glass

At the Dramatic Play center, kids were pretending to be at the beach

We painted flowers using celery! We thought it was a funny thing to use to paint a picture!
